Planting Instructions
Wildflowers create an ideal habeetat for bumblebees.
Sowing in the ground: choose a sunny area and rake the soil loose. Sprinkle the seeds, then cover with a thin layer of soil.
Sowing in a tray: pour most of the soil into tray, level out, water soil lightly, then scatter seeds over soil. Cover seeds with remaining soil and place tray outside.
For both: keep watered, especially in dry weather, and the seeds should germinate in 5-6 days. Sow in early spring (for a summer flowering) or autumn (for a spring flowering). Some species germinate faster than others, giving a different mix every year.
Your seed packet may contain: Kidney Vetch, Cornflower, Common Knapweed, Corn Marigold, Common St John's Wort, Wild Marjoram, Corn Poppy, White Campion or Red Campion. Sow and grow to find out!
