Community Projects Fund

Want to improve your area?

Would up to £500 help?

The Fund provides one-off grants of up to £500 to help people living within the Central Scotland Forest area improve their environment and make a positive difference for all the community.

Any project is eligible that demonstrates clear bio-diversity, environmental and community benefits, has plenty of support from local people and complies with the grant criteria, including:

  • Native woodland or hedgerow planting
  • Wildflower meadow, wildlife and sensory garden creation
  • Community allotments, composting and recycling schemes
  • Access and health improvement projects
  • Environmentally themed community events and arts projects

The fund is open to any ‘formally’ constituted group with office bearers and a bank account. Examples of eligible groups include:

  • Community woodland and nature park groups
  • Local environmental or community action groups
  • Community councils and residents associations
  • Youth groups such as Scouts, Brownies
  • Schools and colleges

The Fund is administered by the Central Scotland Forest Trust and is part funded by Scottish Natural Heritage.
