Closure of River Avon Heritage Trail beneath Torphicen Bridge
Due to a section of boardwalk beneath the road bridge being unsafe the trail has been closed at this point.
The boardwalk will be repaired or replaced but the time for reopening the trail is uncertain at present.
An alternative route is not being suggested, as it would require the use of busy roads. The trail can be rejoined at Muiravonside Country Park or from the Union Canal towpath near the aqueduct.
