Community Project Fund Launched

12 October 2009

Our Community Project Fund, supported by Scottish Natural Heritage, is once again open for applications.

Now in it's eigth year, the Fund provides one-off grants of up to £250 to constituted groups and schools who want to make improvements to their local environment.

A total of £5000 is available and the application deadline is Friday 20th November 2009. Awards will be made in December 2009.

Simon Rennie, Chief Executive of CSFT said "Last year's Community Project Fund helped 26 different organisations with their environmental plans, from purchasing trees to create small woodlands, to creating allotments to provide vegetables for use in a school cookery club and canteen which in turn encouraged healthy eating.

"The Fund is a great way to improve the environment and encourage biodiversity in your area and CSFT welcomes applicants who feel they would be able to put the money towards making a positive difference in their community".
