Purchase of materials for the construction of a recycled greenhouse using 2 litre plastic bottles collected by schoolchildren.

Community project to develop a disused area behind a community hall into a kitchen and wildlife garden. The whole community will be involved in creating, maintaining and using the garden.

Purchase of bulbs, shrubs, scented plants and wildflower seed to increase seasonal interest and provide food for wildlife throughout the year.

Greenhead Orchard Project 
Purchase of fruit trees of local origin to create an orchard near the new earthship visitor centre in a community park. Harvesting and using the fruit will form the basis of community events.

Purchase of native hedgerow plants and wildflower seeds to create a wilderness garden in a newly built school.

Wildflower Garden & Hibernation Hotel 
Purchase of wildflower seeds to create a meadow and wildlife garden to attract a wide variety of insects and improve the school grounds for bio-diversity. The grant will also be used to create a log pile and a ‘hibernation hotel' by installing boxes for bats, bees, lacewings, butterflies and hedgehogs.

Purchase of native trees and tree guards to improve the landscape and bio-diversity value of a cycle corridor by filling in gaps in a hedgerow.

Purchase of tools, a polytunnel, vegetable seeds and plants to create an allotment to provide vegetables for use in the school cookery club and canteen to encourage healthy eating.

Contribution towards the management and improvement of woodland including shrub clearance and tree planting to increase the diversity of species. The project also includes the creation and installation of signs and a site guide for educational purpose.

Purchase of native tree saplings to create a small woodland area and improve the bio-diversity in the school grounds. The project also includes the purchase of willow roods to produce material for craft projects.

Purchase of plant plugs to create a ribbon of scent and wildflowers along the verges and at the entrances to the village. Grant also includes the purchase of native trees and bat and bat boxes.

Purchase of trees to create shade and shelter at seating areas throughout the village. Wildflowers will also be planted for colour and to attract wildlife.
