Vacancies at Central Scotland Forest Trust

We aim to dramatically improve the image, environment  and landscape of the Central Scotland Forest area for the benefit of local communities by delivering environmentally led regeneration projects. We do things differently: we believe in balancing life and work; we work flexibly; we invest in our people and, above all, we value our staff.

Currently there are no vacancies within the Trust, however the following vacancies in one of our partner agencies may be of interest:

HELIX TRUST

Board of Directors

The Helix is one of Scotland's biggest-ever community projects. Unused land between Falkirk and Grangemouth will be transformed into a new sustainable greenspace for people of all ages.

Having received a £25 million grant from the BIG Lottery Fund, the Helix Trust is now looking for an independent Chair and up to five additional members to join its Board and help deliver the project's ambitious goals.

Applications are sought from individuals who either live locally or are involved in businesses or organisations which have an interest in the area. The most important requirement is a strong personal interest in the aims of the Helix, but experience in one or more of the following fields is also desirable:

  • finance
  • fund-raising
  • human resources
  • public relations
  • marketing
  • sustainability
  • greenspace
  • volunteering and community engagement

All posts are voluntary, but reasonable travel expenses will be paid. The time commitment is expected to be around one day a month.

If you would like to help make the Helix vision a reality, please submit a CV together with a covering letter explaining what you have to offer either by e-mail to: gaynor.mckay@falkirk.gov.uk or by post to:
