Summary of Policy with regard to Equal Access for Disabled People
CSFT recognises the rights of disabled people to have access to the services and facilities it provides.
CSFT will ensure that these rights are met, where possible, and that all reasonable actions will be taken to ensure the widest possible access to its services.
In order to do this, CSFT will:
- ensure that all staff are aware of the needs of disabled people as appropriate to the role they undertake within the organisation.
- ensure that the needs of disabled people are fully considered in all decision-making processes.
- give priority to upgrading sites where it is possible to improve disabled access, whilst recognising that it may not be able to make all sites or facilities fully accessible.
