We aim to dramatically improve the image, environment  and landscape of the Central Scotland Forest area for the benefit of local communities by delivering environmentally led regeneration projects. The Central Scotland Green Network is a national development within the National Planning Framework which aims to make a significant contribution to Scotland's sustainable economic development. It seeks to change the face of Central Scotland, by restoring and transforming the landscape of an area stretching from Ayrshire and Inverclyde in the west, to Fife and the Lothians in the east.

Working in partnership with Forestry Commission Scotland, we are recruiting two fixed-term appointments to work across the CSGN .

CSGN Woodland Creation Development Officer
(Salary £26k - £32k and benefits, dependant upon skills and experience)

This is a fixed term appointment of two years, full time post. (35 hours per week) You will identify and promote woodland planting opportunities with the aim of achieving a significant increase in woodland planting. This post will work closely with FCS Conservancy staff and other CSGN partners.

CSGN Planning and Acquisitions Officer
(Salary £26k - £32k and benefits, dependant upon skills and experience)


This is a fixed-term appointment of two years, full time post. (35 hours per week) You will prepare long term forest plans for existing woodlands and using GIS based analysis develop a programme of potential land purchase opportunities to facilitate  woodland planting. This post will work closely with FCS Forest District staff and other CSGN partners.
